Part of the work I did on creating this celebrity portrait of Keira (Twice-) Knightley was in front of a group of fellow artists as part of a demonstration. This painting took about 14 hours, so the demonstration took in only the initial splurge of paint onto canvas once the drawing and initial background washes had been completed. It'spretty scary domonstrating on a portrait for the obvious reason that things can quickly unravel. Fortunately, this one didn't!
